The origins of Château
La Fleur de Boüard

Close to the confluence of the Dordogne and Isle rivers, the fertile soils of Château La Fleur de Boüard benefit from a sunny, warm and humid climate, ideal for growing vines.

This mild climate favors early flowering.
This is why the name “La Fleur” is so frequently used in the appellation.

The beginnings

Nestled in the heart of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, the lands of Château La Fleur de Boüard belonged to a passionate producer who lovingly cultivated his vines.

It is a healthy vineyard, spared the horrors of over-production, a hidden gem. Thanks to a rigorous and respectful approach to the living world and the balance of nature, the finest secrets of this land can be extracted.

Founding
intuition

Château La Fleur de Boüard was born when Hubert de Boüard, co-owner of the famous Château Angélus, fell for this terroir located on the hillside facing the finest Pomerol growths.

Driven by the deep conviction that the terroirs of Lalande-de-Pomerol could produce exceptional wines worthy of the greatest Bordeaux appellations, he acquired the 25-hectare vineyard in 1998, now extended to 29 hectares. By adopting a precise and virtuous approach, the Fleur de Boüard team crafts wines of exceptional finesse.

New era

In 2022, Emmanuel Teillet joined the estate as a director. This association, which has become a synergy, has given rise to a real ambition for quality, and the desire to invest as much in the place as in the careful cultivation of the vine.
