Les Chais de la Fleur: our restaurant in the vineyards

Just steps from Saint-Émilion, in the heart of the prestigious Pomerol vineyard, a gourmet haven awaits you in an idyllic setting. Nestled at Château La Fleur de Boüard in Néac, the restaurant Les Chais de la Fleur offers an authentic gastronomic experience in the heart of the vines.

This bistro and wine bar combines local cuisine, exceptional wines, and stunning views over the vineyards of Lalande-de-Pomerol. Come and enjoy a panoramic terrace surrounded by vines — perfect for a moment of peaceful gourmet relaxation, far from the crowds.

A panoramic terrace in the heart of the vineyards

Imagine an alfresco lunch on a terrace overlooking lush vineyards. The Château’s lush garden, complete with fountain, creates a rustic setting conducive to disconnecting and indulging the senses. In this peaceful, bucolic setting, every meal becomes an enchanted interlude in the calm of the wine-growing countryside. Whether under the summer sun or in the shade of the arbors, you’ll enjoy a timeless moment in harmony with the surrounding nature.

Local cuisine and wine bar

In the kitchen, the restaurant team offers a seasonal menu that celebrates the authenticity of the local terroir.

Menus evolve with the seasons and harvests, showcasing fresh and local products carefully selected from regional producers.

Traditional pâté of Gascon black pork, bone marrow, oysters from Cap Ferret, vegetables from the local garden – each ingredient is chosen for its quality and its connection to the Bordeaux terroir.

Traditional cuisine is enhanced with a bistronomic touch: apparent simplicity, yet refined flavors.

You might start with a South-West salad made with seasonal vegetables, continue with salmon gravlax or tender pork axoa, and end on a sweet note with a house-made dessert.

Land and sea products sit side by side on the menu – it’s not uncommon to find, depending on availability, a fish from the Atlantic or a few oysters, delighting seafood lovers even in the heart of the vineyard.

The house’s goal is clear: to work “from glass to plate” in harmony with the wine, and to promote the region and the flavors of our neighboring terroirs.

Meals are, of course, accompanied by the château’s finest wines.

Les Chais de la Fleur also serve as a friendly wine bar, perfect for enjoying a glass of Lalande-de-Pomerol in its birthplace.

The on-site cellar offers the full range of La Fleur de Boüard wines – including exceptional cuvées – available by the glass, by the bottle, or for purchase directly at the estate.

Food and wine pairings are at the heart of the experience: the estate’s sommelier will guide you, whether you’re pairing a velvety red with a local meat dish, or a fresh Sauvignon blanc with a fish.

This restaurant-cellar concept offers full immersion in wine tourism: after your meal, why not extend the experience with a visit to the château’s cellars or a stroll among the vineyard rows?

We answer your questions

Absolutely. Les Chais de la Fleur is both a restaurant and a wine bar. Here, you can enjoy Château La Fleur de Boüard wines by the glass or bottle with your meal, or simply come in for an aperitif over a glass of wine accompanied by platters of local cheeses or charcuterie. The on-site wine cellar also allows you to buy bottles directly from the estate.

Yes, the menu focuses on local cuisine, but it also includes seafood. Depending on what’s available and what’s in season, you’ll find fresh fish (for example, grilled salmon, sea bass or lamprey in the Bordeaux tradition) and sometimes even oysters or seafood as starters. The idea is to offer a complete gastronomic experience, combining the flavors of the ocean with those of the Bordeaux terroir, even in the heart of the vineyards.

Exactly. The restaurant is located in a peaceful spot among the vines, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. You’ll discover a lush garden with a fountain, and a terrace offering a serene view of the Pomerol hillsides. It’s the ideal place for a meal in the green, in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Day or night, the atmosphere remains intimate and restful – perfect for recharging your batteries while enjoying the tranquility of the vineyards.

No, Les Chais de la Fleur is a seasonal establishment. It opens its doors each year in spring and welcomes guests until autumn. This allows us to offer a fresh menu that’s renewed every season, based on the availability of local produce. The kitchen is overseen by an experienced chef, who works hand-in-hand with local producers to offer an authentic, refined experience, always in tune with the terroir.
