An exceptional immersive winery near Saint‑Émilion
Just ten minutes from Libourne train station and forty minutes from Bordeaux, Château La Fleur de Boüard opens the doors to its Chai de Lumière, a space where technology meets art in the heart of the Bordeaux region. Guests explore a gravity-flow winery where 28 inverted conical vats appear to float overhead, before immersing themselves in a multi-sensory experience crafted by the creators of the famed Bassins de Lumières. The visit culminates in a guided tasting of two standout wines.

A gravity‑flow architectural icon
This iconic gravity cellar, designed by Hubert de Boüard and architect Arnaud Boulain, blends glass, noble wood, and technical prowess. Vinification is carried out entirely by gravity, without pumping, preserving the fruit’s purity. The 28 inverted vats glow like lanterns in a soaring cathedral of light, where each vineyard plot is vinified separately for maximum precision.

A multi‑sensory light & sound journey
The immersive show projected onto the cellar walls was developed with the artistic team behind Les Bassins de Lumières. As the animations unfold, visitors are taken through the history of wine—from ancient amphorae to modern barrels. The sound, light, and scent-rich experience primes the senses for tasting.
